This is the add/edit page for parts or item categories. To add a new category, click on the link at the top of the page that says "Add New Parts Category". This will clear the form at the top and get it ready to add the new category. To edit, click on the category name in the list below the form.

1. Id - This is the part category id number. It is an auto generated number and controlled in the background.

2. Category Name - This is the category name and may have up to 100 characters. The min is 3 chars. This name must be unique for your corporation.

3. Status - This is how you control which categories are active or inactive. Active categories show up in all of the parts search forms.

4. Other Ecommerce Settings - This page has a number of other ecommerce based settings. These include things like show on the web, category web name, web long description, reviews, specs, video link, alternative message, etc.

If you are uploading part/item category photos, we highly recommend that they all be the same size to make your ecommerce pages look nice. The category images don't need to be very big. We recommend something like 800 x 800 pixels.

If you want or need help with category images, there is also an AI image generator using Grok images. Simply enter a prompt and click the generate image button. If you like it, right click it, save it and then use it as your category image.
